Mom Of NOM’s Anti-Gay Poster Boy Says Pro-Gay Companies Are Using Her Son

Dakota Ary is the high school student whose anti-gay beliefs he calls “Christian.” He and his mother, Holly Pope, are determined to get as much attention as humanly possible, it seems, so they’ve teamed up with NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, and NOM’s Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance, along with Jerry Falwell’s Liberty Counsel.

Dakota says he was given detention for four hours last year because he said in class that his religion makes him believe homosexuality is wrong.

NBC, however, last year reported:

On the referral form, Ary is quoted as saying “no gays allowed in Christianity.” The form says the comment was unprovoked and out of context. The final sentence of the explanation on the referral reads, “It is wrong to make such a statement in public school.”

Perhaps what’s most comical about all this is Dakota Ary’s mother, Holly Pope, says she’s really angry because there are a lot of pro-gay marriage “companies” using her son Dakota.

Huh?

What “pro-gay companies” are using your son, Ms. Pope? Starbucks? Amazon? Google? Apple? How are they “using” him?

Because frankly, you’ve allowed your son to be totally used — and embarrassingly so — by NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, and their “Marriage ADA,” along with the Liberty Counsel.

That’s the real shame here.

Okay, so this had to have been taught by the parents….lovely to see bigotry is still
rampant in that catastrophy of a state. :-/

His mom should be ashamed for WHORING out her child on issues that he doesn't have the maturity to understand what he is saying, he only knows what he has been told at this point, and has had no time to examine what he is saying!

This is completely insulting to real Christians such as myself. Smearing Jesus' face with the darkness and shame of homophobia in order to justify one's own sin of homophobia is about as far from Jesus' teachings as one can get.

"I didn't want him to hear me." Bullshit you didn't. You know you wanted him to hear you, and I highly doubt you used that nice of language. This family disgusts me. Plus this terrible mother is using her son so much. Ridiculous.

Hate begets hate. Through his mother's hatred of the gay community, so too her son picked up the lessons from her.

I feel no sympathy for her son's so-called victimization. Not bloody likely!

This from an apparently divorced woman, who is clearly living in sin with the new hubby. She should clean her own house, first, before trying to clean other people's houses.
