Dustin Lance Black, in this video, tells his coming out story at the 2012 HRC Dinner. Black is an Academy Award winning screenwriter, director, producer, and LGBT activist, most popular for the HBO series “Big Love,” the 2008 film “Milk,” and “J. Edgar,” Clint Eastwood’s 2001 film about the presumably gay FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Dustin Lance Black is also a Founding Board Member of the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), which has been successful fighting Prop 8. Black wrote “8,” the re-enactment play based on the court transcripts.
