James Van Der Beek, the star perhaps best-known for TV’s Dawson’s Creek, Saturday joined the Twitter pro-LGBT meme, #LGBTfacts, saying, “Homophobia is the direct result of ignorance… and usually a symptom of repressed homosexuality #lgbtfacts ;)”

Van Der Beek also starred in the 2002 adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ ”The Rules of Attraction,” (which had a bisexual sub-plot), along with Jessica Biel, Ian Somerhalder, and Shannyn Sossamon.
