The Democratic governor of Delaware, Jack Markell, in a surprise move, wasted no time in signing a same-sex marriage bill the state senate passed minutes earlier. The bill, which allow same-sex couples to marry on July 1, was passed by the senate in a 12-9 vote. Delaware is the eleventh state to extend marriage to same-sex marriage.
