Before I give you what I believe to be the worst, most unacceptable five questions from the Pentagon’s survey that will be used to determine how allowing openly gay and lesbian servicemembers in will affect our “military readiness,” let me just say that I cannot believe how this thing is worded. Gays: Surprise! The Tea Party Doesn’t Like You.

April 15, 2010 3:59 PM by David Badash

Gays: Surprise! The Tea Party Doesn’t Like You. Despite the Tea Party’s rallying cry of smaller government, only 16% of Tea Party supporters think gay couples should be allowed to legally marry, according to a wide-ranging New York Times/CBS News poll. Perhaps it’s that Libertarian streak some of them claim that pushes the number up [...]

In a just-released ABC News/Washington Post poll, support for same-sex marriage among Americans dropped slightly to 47% from 49%, but 50% say same-sex marriage should be “illegal,” (up from 46%.)  42% believe “strongly” that same-sex marriage should be illegal. Will Obama Promise Repeal — Again?

For years under Bush, and for months under Obama, military leaders have been “kicking that can down the road,” when it comes to repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.
All of a sudden, though, it seems there’s about as much speculation about “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal in Obama’s State of the [...]
