REPORT: Sean Spicer Could Be Replaced by Right Wing Hate Monger Laura Ingraham
Up Not Out?
In the coming days Sean Spicer could be out as White House Press Secretary, but rather than fired, the former RNC communications director and chief strategist could be looking at a promotion. And standing at the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room podium in his place could be right wing hate monger Laura Ingraham.Â
“Spicer may move into a more senior strategy role at the White House, two people familiar with the situation say,” Bloomberg Politics reports Monday afternoon, adding, “White House said to consider hiring new press secretary.”
Meanwhile, Politico reports “Spicer and White House chief of staff Reince Priebus reached out to Fox News personality Laura Ingraham about the role of press secretary and Daily Mail editor David Martosko about the role of communications director, according to a White House official.”
Spicer has been rumored to be on the verge of being fired literally since day one. Now he’s about to be promoted?
It’s a stunning move if true. Ingraham, who is a frequent guest host at Fox News and runs a far right wing blog, Lifezette, is far from the paragon of truth-telling. She also has a reputation for being homophobic, anti-immigrant, and racist.
Ingraham’s Lifezette blog is an amalgam of its founder.Â
Last year, as NCRM reported, Fox News re-published a Lifezette article titled, “LGBT Crowd Eyes Preschool Children.”
It was right wing ignorant fear-mongering at its worst.
Way back in 2013 NCRM noted Ingraham “has appeared on these pages many times, usually for her offensive, ignorant, anti-gay, anti-trans, and anti-Islam hate mongering. Today, Ingraham gets to add another notch to her bigotry belt: race baiter.”
Today, when we typed Lifezette into Google, here’s what showed up:
Sean Spicer has lost all credibility, and deservedly so. Replacing him with Laura Ingraham will only make the job of White House Press Secretary a bigoted joke.
