What Started As A Slow Day Has Become A Bonfire Of Gay News

**UPDATE: Now With Prejean Video**

First, TMZ reports that Miss California, know to many as Miss Opposite Marriage, and to Perez Hilton’s fans as a four-letter word, has officially been fired by The Don, Donald Trump, himself. (Go ahead, you know you want to… Trump: “You’re Fired!) Prejean evidently was fired because “she doesn’t play well with others“, and was “a no-show for appearances she was supposed to make for the pageant organization.” TMZ also says “the new Miss California USA will be Miss Malibu Tami Farrell.”

I can only assume Maggie Gallagher is in a bargaining frenzy right now against Fox News over which right-wing organization will sign the now Ex-Miss California first. Perhaps Fox will win and Hannity will offer her a regular spot, called, “An Opposite View.”

Reportedly banned from entering Great Britain, reportedly extreme right-wing talk show radio host and reported founder of Rockstar drinks Michael Savage has reportedly been firing lawsuits all over the country at LGBTQ bloggers for reportedly saying that he, well, reportedly was the founder of Rockstar energy drink. The company, reportedly managed by Savage’s son, may or may not have any relation to Savage, also reportedly known as, yes, Michael Wiener. Possibly more on this later. This reporter does know that an anti-Rockstar or anti-Michael Savage Facebook fan page reportedly was removed from facebook even after the reported facebook fan page creator was reportedly forced by Rockstar’s lawyers to make a public apology. Reportedly. Bilerico founder Bil Browning reportedly has also been a target of Rockstar’s vengeance, and reportedly appeared on CNN today. Browning writes on his site today,

“Rockstar’s lawyer complained to me that Michael’s (Michael Jones, a guest blogger) article contained two inaccurate sentences and that the gist of the article was “Michael Savage is a filthy creep and he has deep connections with Rockstar energy drink.” While the attorney made it perfectly clear he agreed Savage was a disgusting pig, it was unfair to the company to link Rockstar with Savage just because Michael Savage’s son, Russell Weiner, is the current CEO of RockStar.”

And on the craziness that is the New York State Legislature, more on the Republican Senate takeover and the effects it is having on the gay marriage bill. The marriage equality bill, a seemingly nine-lived cat, would appear to be the beneficiary of Monday’s Republican New York State Senate coup. The bill’s co-sponsor, Pedro Espada, Jr., now the President pro-tempore of the Senate, and Tom Duane, (D – New York City) both claim the bill is alive, will be voted upon next week. Reports are being fired across the Internet (have to keep that metaphor alive this far into the post!) that Duane, a staunch Democrat, is about to switch parties and become a Republican to ensure the bill passes. Seems there are a lot of folks willing to switch teams just to help that bill… (image: -Marlith-)
