Adam Bouska, fashion photographer and founder of the very famous NoH8 Campaign, has just had his Facebook page deleted. Facebook refuses to discuss why, and, via Twitter, Facebook writes,
“All those asking about @bouska : We hear you and our team is investigating, but we can’t share any specifics on someone’s acct.”
I won’t suggest Facebook has anything against Adam Bouska. In fact, as you remember, Facebook acted very quickly to delete over a dozen anti-gay hate groups that were based on Facebook.
Nevertheless, it is strange that these types of things happen.
Ironically, you can join the “Bring Back Adam Bouska’s Facebook Page,” um, Facebook page.
Adam Bouska, you’ll remember, created the very recent NoH8 photos of Cindy and Megan McCain, and, well, me…

Well, this doesn't look good for them. Thanks for blogging about this; I hadn't heard. They better do some damage control. I'll be interested to hear the updates.
From what I know about Facebook (I manage over 15 fan pages for various clients), either the page owner did something wrong – or the account was hacked and that person did something wrong. Facebook sends a warning to the email address on file stating that your account has been flagged for wrongdoing. They warn you to stop the behavior or your account will be deleted. If the behavior doesn't stop, the page gets deleted (but not until they've sent at least 2 other warnings). If they can see from their system that they've sent you several warnings, they won't re-open your page and you'll be forced to start over. And they don't really care who you are.
The only time I've known of Facebook to delete a page without warning is when there's pornographic pictures or videos posted. Typically, someone has to see that kinda stuff and report it Facebook. Before you can hit the submit report button, Facebook asks you to read their rules on inappropriate images and videos so you can make sure what you're reporting is indeed inappropriate.
Now, having made a few mistakes on Facebook myself (which cost me time and lost revenue with clients), I can tell ya . . . they don't just arbitrarily delete people's pages.
His motto is "No H8" not hate. Well, FB is not infallible. Maybe it was a mistake
Some of the gay hating Facebook groups have reappeared David, sadly to say.
I sure hope this is a mistake about Adam Bouska's page.
