Believe it or not, former Tennessee Congressman turned Wall Street banker Harold Ford, who has flip-flopped and him self been forced to deny on-the-record anti-gay positions, has labeled New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand a “desperate liar.”
Forget the audacity of hope – this is just pure, unadulterated audacity.
Politico reports Gillibrand has come out swinging. In a statement, she responded,
“That includes a former Tennessee congressman … and Merrill executive who has an anti-choice and anti-LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] record and whose candidacy is being floated by a few Wall Street insiders.”
Congressman Ford, it’s called carpetbagging for a reason. Go home to Tennessee. Better yet, stay here – New York needs the tax revenue from your million-dollar-a-year Bank of America salary. Just stay out of politics.
