Fox News has decided that the Gallup Poll we reported on yesterday, which shows that 61% of Americans oppose reducing collective bargaining rights of government workers, didn’t suit their needs, so they switched the numbers. Fox News, as you can see from the image above, reported that 61% of Americans favor reducing collective bargaining rights of government workers, which is obviously false.
Joe.My.God., in “Lying Liars At Fox News Reverse Gallup Poll Result On Collective Bargaining,” says, “Don’t expect Fox to issue a retraction.”
But Fox did issue a retraction — if you can call it that — emphasizing their original “error” as accurate. Media Matters reports, Fox & Friends, co-host Brian Kilmeade ”issued a correction during the final minute of Fox & Friends – 44 minutes after the error – saying: “I want to correct a poll that we did about 22 minutes ago from Gallup. Sixty-one percent oppose taking collective bargaining away from those people in Wisconsin; 33 percent in favor. I had it reversed. I apologize.” In fact, the poll asked if people would oppose a similar law in their own states. A graphic was aired correctly showing that 61 percent of those polled oppose taking collective bargaining away.”
Media Matters explains, “On the February 23 edition of Fox News’ Fox & Friends, co-host Brian Kilmeade brought on a panel of guests to discuss the ongoing protests in Wisconsin, sparked by Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to cut benefits and eliminate most collective bargaining rights for some public employees. While talking to Democratic strategist Robert Zimmerman, Kilmeade discussed the results of a recent USA Today/Gallup poll to falsely claim that “61 percent” of those polled are “in favor of taking [collective bargaining rights] away.”
Fox News has several times switched the political party designation of politicians involved in scandals or other negative situations, from Republican to Democrat in their graphics.

Fox News has been accused in the past of “cropping quotes from President Obama, Vice President Biden, and Vice President Gore so they appear out of context, using image manipulation software to edit the appearance of reporters from The New York Times, and using footage from other events during a report on the November 5 “Tea Party” rally in Washington DC.”
“Media Matters also called attention to the December 4 edition of Fox and Friends and accused the show of misleading their viewers with a “questionable graphic” that showed the results of a Rasmussen Reports climate change poll adding up to 120%.”

The Republican Party has turned into a running joke.
I love how Fox New's motto is "Fair and Balanced". LMFAO
A message to the Right: You can't change reality to fit your needs. You have to accept it.
