Spencer Tracy On Health Care

Last night on TCM I watched Spencer Tracey and Katharine Hepburn in Frank Capra’s 1948 classic American political tale, “State of the Union.” This short clip struck me; not much has changed in sixty years, has it?

So, when the Republicans talk about Democrats rushing health care reform through Congress, remind them that for well-over sixty years, American has been trying – and failing – to reform health care.

Health care is a basic human right. Health care is a civil right, too.
