I love Twitter, because people tell me what they’re feeling. Hopefully, I can help. I got this message today,

“i am so pissed about the “don’t ask don’t tell” not being stopped!!! I just had to tell someone….”

My response? “Don’t tell someone, tell everyone!” And sign a petition. This petition, from the Servicemembers Legal Defense Fund: Tell Congress: Pass the Military Readiness Enhancement Act. Why? They say it best:

“I urge you to support the Military Readiness Enhancement Act, which would repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and ensure that all qualified Americans can serve in the military regardless of sexual orientation.”

Ditto.

Please.

By the way, my comments on the petition I included when I signed it:

“Discrimination is illegal. DADT is embarrassing. Repeal it now. And then, apologize to all the fine men and women, to those patriots you fired, and ask them, beg them to return.

You’ll be lucky, America will be lucky, if even half of them consider it. “
