Corrupt Fraudster Donald Trump Again Attacks “Hamilton.” Is It A Distraction?
36 Hours Later, President-Elect Still Tweeting About Incident
The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior

President-elect Donald Trump continued to attack “Hamilton” on Sunday after the cast delivered a critical message to Vice President-elect Mike Pence when he attended the hit Broadway show on Friday night.Â
In a tweet posted at 6:22 a.m. (above), Trump suggested that “Hamilton” is “highly overrated,” and again called for an apology.Â
“The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior,” Trump wrote.Â
A day before, Trump claimed Pence was “harassed” at the show, calling the cast “very rude” and saying the theater should be a “safe and special place.” Brandon Victor Dixon, the “Hamilton” actor who delivered the message calling for Pence to be inclusive, responded to Trump by saying “conversation is not harassment.”Â
Since then, some observers have suggested that Trump’s crusade against “Hamilton” — which has dominated headlines and social media since it began — is intended merely as a distraction from other more important issues, or scandals, facing his incoming administration.Â
This week, Trump tapped right-wing extremists to lead both the Justice Department and the CIA. On Friday, he agreed to pay $25 million to settle three lawsuits alleging he defrauded students through his fake university. And on Saturday, The Washington Post exposed yet another blatant potential conflict of interest for Trump — his D.C. hotel is marketing rooms to foreign diplomats seeking favor with the soon-to-be commander in chief. The Hamilton story hits 1st Amendment rights. LGBT issues. Vilification of opposition (esp. nonwhite). Trump lying.
It’s not a distraction.

I don’t want to leap to the conclusion that this is a deliberate Trump plan, but editors should think harder about what’s most important. https://t.co/fYYYehHQNP

For those who believe media overplaying Trump v Hamilton: when POTUS threatens artists over criticism, its big news.

The president-elect and his family, who I hear are highly overrated, should immediately apologize to America for their corrupt behavior.
