Matt Barber describes himself as a “Christ follower, Liberty Counsel attorney, radio host, columnist (WashTimes, TownHall, WND, etc.) talking head, Husband, Father & ex-pro boxer.”
Barber is listed on the Liberty Counsel’s website as the “Director of Cultural Affairs with Liberty Counsel and Associate Dean with Liberty University School of Law.”
And Barber is virulently anti-gay and has falsely claimed there is “no evidence” of mass anti-gay violence but lamented the “specter” of violence against gay people has forced churches into the closet. Barber also calls gay people, “people who engage in these aberrant sexual behaviors.” Because homosexuality, in Matt Barber’s mind, apparently, does not exist, but homosexual sex — an “aberrant sexual behavior” – does, and it is a choice, apparently. Which, of course, is false.
Barber said that “President Obama has called Jesus a ‘liar’” by invoking His name in support of same-sex marriage, and added, “there’s a word for this: ‘heresy’.”
Last night, Barber, who in the past has worked for what are now listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as anti-gay hate groups, responded on Twitter to Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s discussion of the unearthed 2007 video of Barack Obama’s address to an audience at Hampton University.
Barber called President Obama ”a white-hating, communist, Black Nationalist,” and said that “Obama’s fake ebonics accent is as creepy as any of his hateful race-baiting.”
Below, Barber’s tweets, in which he repeatedly claims President Obama hates whites, and says “Obama was fanning the flames of *race* warfare.”
If you missed the video of President Obama, you can see it here.
Then decide what you think about Matt Barber, the ”Christ follower.”
