“More than 80 percent of the participating [law enforcement] agencies reported no hate crimes in their jurisdictions in 2008.” (via The Raw Story.)
Oh really? That is mind-boggling! The refusal of federal, state, and local law-enforcement agencies to classify as hate crimes brutal, obviously homophobic-motivated crimes as hate crimes is unacceptable. Do you know that the murder of Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado – who was decapitated, dismembered, and burned – has not been classified as a hate crime by the Governor of Puerto Rico?

So its a numbers game.provided 80% are clear then the other 20% can go to hell? It only takes one to be too many.
