Rick Santorum this week told Fox News host Bill O’Reilly that gay marriage “discourages” straight marriage.

“Would we be discouraging heterosexual marriage by allowing gay marriage?” the Fox News host asked Santorum.

“Yeah, I believe we would,” Santorum responded, “because we’d be saying marriage isn’t about children.”

Santorum, who has for years has babbled on about how schools are indoctrination facilities for liberals, was asked by O’Reilly about having a speaking engagement to a Michigan high school canceled. O’Reilly didn’t mention that a prime reason was because Santorum refused to provide an advance copy of his speech to the school. he also didn’t mention that the school was promised that Santorum would not discuss same-sex marriage, while Santorum, in his bullying attack on school authorities, specified that he had every intention of speaking about same-sex marriage.

It was also then revealed that Santorum is being paid $18,000 to speak to the Michigan high schoolers, some, presumably, as young as 13 or 14.

Santorum first took issue with not being allowed to speak to t 1600 high school students, and railed against the “liberal educators” on his Patriot Voices’ website. Then, when school administrators changed their mind, but added one tiny caveat — parents would have to sign a permission slip — Santorum again displayed anger and frustration, telling Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that it’s ridiculous” for them to require parental approval — “as if there’s something that person could do to harm your child!” — since he’s been a Senator and was almost the GOP presidential nominee.

Hypocrisy much?

Santorum could have and should have been the bigger person, but his narcissism and self-obsession wouldn’t allow it.

Santorum has advocated against same-sex marriage and claimed schools will teach that homosexuality is OK, but becomes agitated when a school demands a simple parental signature for him to bring his religious theocratic zealotry into the public schools?

We have nothing to do with the current stats on marriage. They had it messed up long before this._Our marriages have nothing to do with discouraging others. Str8 people will continue to fall in love, get married, and have children like they always have._They just can't imagine we fall in love, want to get married, and have children. They only see the act of sex. Everything about them says they can not get past the fact we have sex. So do they, and I don't think about sex when I am talking to or about them.
If your feelings on current controversial issues require permission to attend, maybe you better take a look at what you need to change.

No it doesn't and marriage is not about children. Marriage is about two people making a life long commitment to each other to love, honor and protect each other in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health forsaking all others until death do they part. Having and/or raising children is optional. FACT.

Just the thought of having sex with Rick Santorum is enough to turn most women lesbian.

None of my marriages were about children. I didn't make any babies while married. Made my one and only baby between marriages.

Jesus, people, get over it already. If even Tim Hardaway can get with the program, the jig is up. Anyway, it's party time! And no matter what your orientation, to help you party in this brave new wedding world you need to find some new music, not bogged down with baggage from all the failed marriages of the past 50 years. Here's a brand spanking new one that works from a guy's point of view, whether he's marrying a woman or another dude. It's a little rough-and-tumble, but it's got a great dance beat. You can even play it in Russia without fear of reprisal. Check it out! https://soundcloud.com/biff-thuringer/i-know-you-
