I guess if you’re the president of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), you think you’re doing God’s work, and yet, you think you can flip-flop and lie just to get your truth out there. Oh, and you think if one of God’s people is standing next to you, you can lie until they’re gone. [...]

As I stated in “Marriage Equality Through A Netroots Nation Looking Glass,” I was at Netroots Nation, a progressive conference, this past weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. My partner, David Badash, and I took part in quite a few panels/caucuses/and discussions about the LGBT movement and where it should/could be heading. After listening to the [...]

Seriously, folks. Can you believe this? Maggie Gallagher, the Chairman of the National Organization For Marriage, (which just kicked off their hatefest, “Summer For Marriage Tour 2010” today,) came out in her National Review column and called the President of the United States a “liar.” And she doesn’t even have the guts to actually say, [...]

The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) today kicked off their bigotry hate fest, the “Summer for Marriage Tour 2010,” and shared this photo of NOM President Brian Brown holding his son. Take a close look at the bus. I’d like to know if those are “real” couples or just models. And don’t you just love [...]

BREAKING: Gay Marriage Ban Is Unconstitutional? Federal Judge Rules Yes, In Part!

July 8, 2010 5:01 PM by David Badash

For months marriage equality advocates and opponents have been anxiously awaiting a decision on the federal Prop 8 trial, which many believe will render California’s Prop 8 unconstitutional in that state and lead to a Supreme Court challenge of the Federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA.) But under the woodwork, as it were, another challenge [...]

The Real Purpose Of Marriage: Sex, Not Love – America’s Right-Wing’s Ridiculous Anti-Marriage Equality Arguments

Another ridiculous and disturbing argument America’s Right Wing makes against same-sex marriage goes to the very core of how conservatives view the institution of marriage. Marriage in the past was used to united kingdoms, secure wealth, subjugate women and treat them as property (chattel,) and so on. It is only in recent times that the concept of marriage has become about love, not money. Except for the anti-marriage equality folks on the Right, who still insist marriage is not about love, but about sex.

The Real Purpose Of Marriage: Sex, Not Love is the fifth and final part in our week-long series, America’s Right-Wing’s Ridiculous Anti-Marriage Equality Arguments.

America’s Right Wing is blessed with a rich and deep treasure, and treasurer. The Church, be it Catholic, Christian, Evangelical, Baptist, or Mormon, has endowed the creators of the hate-fest against the LGBT community with unabashed riches.

Love And Money. Especially Money is part four in our week-long series, America’s Right-Wing’s Ridiculous Anti-Marriage Equality Arguments.

(Image and caption on Michelle Malkin’s website. Nice, huh?) While extreme Right Wing bigot and self-hating demagogue Michelle Malkin complains about her parenting responsibilities, tweeting, “I am my kids’ summer day camp chauffeur. My minivan needs a meter. ,” her guest blogger Doug Powers penned this nasty piece of homophobic, right-wing ridiculousness: “Google to Pay [...]

Gay Couples Don’t Need Marriage Because They Never Have Children By Accident

Thumbnail image for Gay Couples Don’t Need Marriage Because They Never Have Children By Accident

To America’s Right Wing, the idea that a same-sex couple could be allowed to marry and raise children goes just too far. That two parents are available to love and bring up a child, especially an adopted child, is not a rational concept for them. The needs and benefits to the child are unimportant. They would rather make up science to try to come up with a reason against it.

Gay Couples Don’t Need Marriage Because They Never Have Children By Accident is part three in our week-long series, America’s Right-Wing’s Ridiculous Anti-Marriage Equality Arguments.
