Andrew Shirvell: Proud To Support Dave Agema’s Stand ‘Against The Radical Homosexual Agenda’
Andrew Shirvell says he’s “proud to support Dave Agema” in his stand “against the radical homosexual agenda.” Shirvell is the fired Michigan Assistant Attorney General who was accused of stalking and tormenting a college student because he was gay. The abuse included creating a blog that featured images like this:
Ultimately, Shirvell, refusing to apologize, was ordered to pay the University of Michigan student $4.5 million.

Dave Agema, the nation now knows, is the Republican National Committee (RNC) state official who believes gay people are “filthy” and has been defending his Facebook post that links to a lie-filled article citing “studies” that claim gay people are responsible for half the urban murders across the country, die at the age of 42, and claims “50% of suicides can be attributed to homosexuals.”
“Shirvell signed an online petition supporting Agema,” MLive reported:
“I’m proud to support Dave Agema, and I think that attacking him is completely ridiculous and wrong,” Shirvell told MLive, adding Agema is “experiencing everything I’ve experienced over the last two years,” including “absolutely uncontrolled hatred and death threats.”
Shirvell was fired by the state in 2010 after it was determined he used computers in the attorney general’s office to wage an aggressive anti-gay campaign against Chris Armstrong, then the openly gay U-M student body president.
…
On Wednesday, Shirvell told MLive he is in the midst of appealing that “outrageous ruling” and still is fighting to get his job back.
