UPDATED: George Zimmerman Involved In ‘Road Rage’ Shooting Incident
George Zimmerman has been involved in yet another law enforcement incident, this time he was shot and sustained minor injuries.
See updates below.
In what is being referred to an “ongoing dispute” between an unnamed man and George Zimmerman by Lake Mary, Florida Police Chief Steve Bracknell, Zimmerman was shot and sustained a minor gunshot injury.
MyFoxDC reports “Police say it appears to be a ‘road rage incident.'”
The shooting occurred this afternoon, about 12:45 PM ET.Â
“He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn’t being helped or nothing,†witness Ricardo Berrare told WESH-TV News. “They actually backed up the ambulance next to his driver side so he could walk into the door.”

“The officer was talking to him through the back window because the other one had a hole in it. It was all shattered,” Berrare added.
In January, Zimmerman was accused of assault by his girlfriend, but no charges were filed after she recanted her allegation.
He was also arrested in November 2013 on domestic violence allegations after his girlfriend called police. His girlfriend later recanted her story and charges were never filed.
Zimmerman was acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in 2013.

UPDATE II – 3:47 PM EDT:
The Associated Press is reporting Zimmerman’s lawyer says he was shot at but the bullet did not hit him. His injuries, his lawyer says, are from the glass in his car.
In the latest of a string of incidents since he was acquitted in the killing of Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman was sprayed with glass from his vehicle’s windshield and other debris in the Orlando suburb of Lake Mary, said his attorney Don West.
“His injuries would be considered minor,” West said. “The bullet missed his head. I think it broke a window and lodged in his vehicle.”
