Yesterday, we brought you a clip from the season finale of HBO’s “The Newsroom,” Aaron Sorkin‘s amazing exploration of what journalism is supposed to look like. You’ll remember Aaron Sorkin, the man whose previous exploration of what a presidency was supposed to look like brought us “The West Wing.”
Today, another clip, one that’s making the rounds on many of the LGBT blogs, like Towleroad, Back2Stonewall, and Joe.My.God. It’s actually a longer clip of the one we posted yesterday, which found HBO’s fictional character, news anchor Will McAvoy, saying the Tea Party’s “radical fundamentalism” is pushing a “perversion of our great history.”
In this clip, McAvoy indeed calls the Tea Party “the American Taliban,” and says they “love America but hate Americans.”
