Vermont House Votes On Gay Marriage Bill Today: As expected, the Vermont house will vote on the widely-supported gay marriage bill today, despite a promise of a veto by Republican Governor Jim Douglas. Prior to the Governor’s unprecedented and inexplicable pre-vote veto threat, the bill, which passed the Senate last week, was widely expected to pass the House. Stay tuned for results!
