Bill Maher‘s political short film producer Alexandra Pelosi (yes, Nancy’s daughter,) interviewed attendees during this week’s Republican National Committee convention in Tampa, Florida. They offered their honest opinions about President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Pelosi interviewed Tea Party members, RNC delegates, and other attendees.

One woman says “I am a Teavengelical. No more dead babies.” She adds, “If we don’t get Jesus back in this county, we can all say goodbye, and economics and education can all go “to the wayside” until Jesus is brought back into the country.

One man claimed that Obama knew about 9/11 before it happened and is a Muslim.

Alexandra Pelosi is an Emmy-Award nominated filmmaker.

Hurray! Watch and share before YouTube pulls it. You can also watch on HBO and HBO on demand.

Though these people have rather outlandish beliefs, it is imperative that Romney's religious beliefs are discussed openly and properly. Mormons are Christians; while they differ with mainstream Protestant or Catholic theology, Mormons still believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and their personal savior. Let us not repeat the ignorance that was rife during the 1960's election, when Kennedy's Catholicism was subject to suspicion.

The very substantial theological differences between Mormons and the rest of Christianity notwithstanding, it was the Mormons that bought us the time to organize and win Prop 8, and thus every election concerning same sex marriage since.

When it comes to family and marriage related issues, the Mormons and the rest of Christianity (as well as other faiths, as well as millions of no faith) are thisclose.

Um BS^^^, love to break it to you, but prop 8 has hardly been "won" and I think every thinking and realistic person knows that California will have equality for all of it's citizens when SCOTUS likely does not take the case in late September… Darn those details. Oh and about the other states with amendments and what have you to their Constitutions, I'm thinking that SCOTUS Will indeed take on one of the many DOMA cases at their doorstep in late September. I know it will be you and your hateful ilk who will truly be suffering while our great country again flourishes with jurisprudence undergirding equality and justice for all. Now, away with you

It really pisses me off every time I see those losers fly the Gadsden flag. Like they have any clue what it actually stands for. They think it has something to do with taxes. The flag represents freedom from tyranny, especially religiously backed tyranny. Ironic that the flag they fly is the flag that least represents what they believe in.
