Bryan Fischer, his entire world view coming apart at the seams, went on his “Focal Point” radio talk show to make himself feel better yesterday, repeatedly telling himself over and over and over that the GOP is not the “stupid party,” in response to Bobby Jindal, Republican governor of Louisiana, and a possible 2016 presidential candidate, who said last week the GOP has to stop being “the stupid party.”
In defense of his belief that the GOP is not the stupid party, Fischer points immediately to Republican (now-former Congressman, having failed his Senate bid) Todd Akin, defending his comments on rape — well, some of his comments on rape.
It’s worth the one minute and forty-six seconds to see how the GOP is not only the stupid party, but the party of lying to themselves.
It’s also worth repeating that Bryan Fischer is the public face of the certified anti-gay hate group, American Family Association.
