Tonight at the Democratic National Convention, peppered between speeches were clips of President Obama speaking in support of LGBT civil rights, same-sex marriage, and the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Throughout this entire convention, and at no other in America, LGBT people have been embraced and included, like never before.

There are few feelings so powerful as knowing those you respect, respect you.
