Twelve children were filmed watching the controversial Cheerios commercial that featured an interracial couple as parents of a bi-racial daughter. The commercial drew intense anger from so many people because of their attitudes on race that Cheerios had to close and delete comments on YouTube.

“Prior to the closure, the comment section had been filled “with references to Nazis, ‘troglodytes’ and ‘racial genocide,’” according to Adweek,” the Huffington Post reported just days after the ad was posted to YouTube. Today, it has had almost four million views.

The children in this video, aged seven to 13, were asked several questions about the commercial, then asked why it made some people upset.

Not one of them had any idea. They literally had to be told why. And when they were told, they were angry, upset, thought the race-based responses to the video were stupid, and wrong.

Which sounds very right to me.

Watch, and enjoy:

Right on for the kids. I saw absolutely NOTHING wrong with it myself. Adults just like to stir up controversy for the sake of doing so. They say they do it to 'protect the kids'…guess what, your controversies are actually confusing (and harming) them, so knock it off!

As the song about racism in the musical South Pacific says, "You have to be carefully taught." Unless kids are taught to be racist, they're usually color blind. These wonderful kids are our future! Whenever I am saddened by adults expressing ugly opinions, I can now remember these kids and have hope for humanity and this country. This made my day.

Yes absolutely there shouldn't be an issue and it would be great of this was all real but it isn't and if this goes viral then pretty quickly the Kids will be identified from the agency they were hired through and the racists will claim that this is another "liberal lie'' and Oh dear another own goal.

We need to win this through truth not dishonesty and this is dishonest.

Kids are a whole lot smarted than the effed-up adults!
