Late Thursday afternoon, in an act of sheer partisanship, contempt for the rule of law, and contempt for the Obama administration, the Republican-led House of Representatives voted 255-67 — almost entirely along party lines — to hold Attorney General Eric Holder, the nation’s first African-American Attorney General, in contempt of Congress.

Many are saying that Republicans wanted to find Holder in contempt as payback for his work hindering their attempts to restrict voting, which they are using to try to get Romney into the White House.
It should be little surprise that the NRA is behind the GOP’s contempt vote.
But 109 Democrats, held together by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, literally stood together and in an act of bravery walked out of the House (image, top,) refusing to even dignify Darrell Issa‘s witch hunt with their vote.
Seventeen Democrats, however, broke with their party to try to save not democracy, liberty, or even their own dignity, but their re-election efforts.

Good for them. No more DEA coverups. Actually we should abolish the DEA and end the war on drugs. What happened to "transparent" government when people promoted Obama they said it would bring just that. Now they applaud those who vote against making it clear what the government did. Hypocrisy.
