Same-Sex Binational Couple Faces Deportation – Thomas Roberts Interview
A same-sex binational married couple, Josh Vandiver and Henry Velandia, legally married in Connecticut last year, explain to MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts how Henry will be deported May 6, thanks to DOMA, the federal Defense of Marriage Act. “It means the federal government comes into my home, and rips my husband away from me,” Vandiver tell Roberts.
