Trump Attacks Saturday Night Live, Which He Hosted Last November, Over Debate Parody

GOP Nominee Calls Comedy Sketch A “Hit Job,” Suggests It’s Part Of Media Conspiracy

Donald Trump is lashing out at Saturday Night Live — which he hosted last November — in response to the comedy show’s parody of the second presidential debate.

In a tweet early Sunday (above), Trump called the segment a “hit job” and said it’s “time to retire the boring and unfunny show,” adding that actor Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of him “stinks.”

“Media rigging election!” he added.

The segment mocked Trump’s response during the debate to the 2005 “Access Hollywood” video in which he condoned sexual assault. It also suggested that the video effectively handed the race to Clinton, played by Kate McKinnon, whom the moderators even jokingly refer to as “president.” And it played up a viral meme — with “Jaws” theme music and all — about Trump stalking Clinton around the stage during the debate.

Of course, the segment also included hits on Clinton, poking fun at her seemingly rehearsed movements and comparing her unfavorably to Michelle Obama.
