Awesome: ‘Bowling Green Massacre Victims Fund’ Asks for Donations ‘To Rebuild a Community Torn Apart’
The Joke Is on the Trump Administration
Kellyanne Conway‘s infamous mistruth, that there was a “Bowling Green Massacre,” has led to anger and mockery of the White House Counselor to the President, a delayed correction, and even a statement from the mayor of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

In a taped interview that aired Thursday night on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Conway made an egregiously false claim to try to defend and justify President Trump’s likely unconstitutional Muslim ban.
“I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,†Conway told host Chris Matthews. “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.â€
As many have said, it didn’t get covered because it didn’t happen.Â
Conway Friday morning tweeted she meant to say “terrorists,” not “massacre.”
But the damage to her reputation is done – and was long before this falsehood was uttered. She is, after all, the one who came up with “alternative facts,” and has been provably lying on news networks for months (which is why she should not be allowed on news networks anymore.)
But now Conway’s fabrication is being used for good.
Enter one currently anonymous do-gooder with an excellent sense of irony and humor, and their creation: The Bowling Green Massacre Victims Fund.
“JOIN US IN HELPING THOSE IN THIS TIME OF NEED,” the website urges. “We all still carry the vivid memories of what horrors occurred at Bowling Green, but some still relive those moments everyday as they work to rebuild a community torn apart.”
The large “Donate” button, when clicked on, serves up the ACLU’s website – the perfect response to the Trump White House’s usurpation of civil rights.
