Scaramucci Deletes Pro-Hillary, Pro-Gun Control, Anti-Wall, Climate Change Acceptance Tweets for ‘Transparency’
Calls ‘Past Views’ A ‘Distraction’
As NCRM reported earlier today, a renewed focus on Anthony Scaramucci’s old tweets followed his appointment as the White House’s new Communications Director.Â
The focus followed reports that Scaramucci donated $4,600 to Hillary Clinton in 2007 and $5,600 to former President Barack Obama in 2008, and showed him as pro-LGBT, pro-gun control, pro-Hillary Clinton, anti-wall and as a believer in climate change.
Now, Scaramucci has taken to Twitter in the name of “full transparency,†advising he’s deleting some of the tweets. “Past views evolved & shouldn’t be a distraction,†he wrote. “I serve [Donald Trump’s] agenda & that’s all that matters.â€
Full transparency: I’m deleting old tweets. Past views evolved & shouldn’t be a distraction. I serve @POTUS agenda & that’s all that matters

The newly-minted Communications Director surely knows, however, that the Internet is forever. Below, screenshots of some of the tweets he’s deleted (so far):

Some reactions, via Twitter:
Full transparency would be keeping the tweets, @Scaramucci. Your loyalty contract with @realDonaldTrump say differently? https://t.co/yquopQYyzA

Deleting records (even of “past views”) is literally the opposite of transparency. https://t.co/xsm4LpgB6T

Scaramucci is invoking transparency in eliminating evidence of his past views. Don Jr. did so when he was beating the NYT to the punch.

When @Scaramucci‘s version of transparency is deleting his tweets, you know he’ll fit right in with the Trump Administration. https://t.co/qwHcWL2hff
