Sebastian Gorka and Sarah Palin to Headline Rally Supporting Anti-Gay US Senate Candidate Roy Moore
Former Trump Supporters Support Extremist Candidate Trump Opposes
Former White House aide Sebastian Gorka and former Trump surrogate Sarah Palin will travel to Alabama for a rally on Thursday to support Republican Roy Moore. Gorka (photo), a Steve Bannon protégé, allegedly has ties to a Nazi group, which he denies, and to white nationalists.Â
Thursday night Gorka will make his first public appearance in his new role as chief strategist for the MAGA Coalition, a new Super PAC which says it helps like-minded candidates “compete against globalist corporatists [sic] interests,” according to Axios.
President Trump opposes Moore, and supports his opponent, Luther Strange.
Moore is the former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court who is the leading Republican candidate for the U.S Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions. Moore is a virulent anti-gay activist and who has voiced racist beliefs, as recently as this weekend when he referred to Native Americans and Asians as “reds and yellows.”
“Judge” Roy Moore is leading Luther Strange by 8 to 14 points according to various polls. But the Democratic candidate in the race, who will face either Moore or Strange after this month’s runoff election, is statistically tied with both. Some Republican voters have said they would vote for Democrat Doug Jones over Moore, who has become extremely toxic to many except his die hard supporters.Â
It should speak volumes to Alabama voters that a supposed (yet disdained) national security expert who reportedly had his security clearance revoked, is campaigning to elect Roy Moore. Sarah Palin’s own behavior and beliefs should also be of concern to Alabama voters.
